Carina du Toit

Carina du Toit holds BA and LLB degrees from Stellenbosch University and an LLM (Cum Laude) from the University of Pretoria. Carina began practice at the Centre for Child Law where she litigated mainly on children’s civil, political and socio-economic rights. She joined the Constitutional Litigation Unit at the Legal Resources Centre in 2016 focusing on the silicosis class action. Carina joined the bar in 2021 and her practice includes constitutional litigation, administrative law, media, privacy and access to information law, defamation, environmental law, immigration and refugee law, child law and public and regulatory matters.
