Yusuf Peer

Yusuf is the elected Group Leader of Victoria Mxenge Group of Advocates.

Yusuf was called to the bar in 2018 after practicing for several years as an attorney.  Yusuf serves regularly as an Acting Judge of the Labour Court of South Africa.

Yusuf specializes in general commercial litigation and arbitration, employment law, banking law, administrative law, liquidation matters and sports and entertainment law.  Yusuf also has a special interest in international litigation and arbitration, and has provided advice on matters involving Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) Law and Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADGM) Law, two common law free zones within the United Arab Emirates.

Yusuf appears regularly before the civil and labour courts as well as arbitration panels. He has also appeared before specialized sports tribunals such as the International Cricket Council Appeals Tribunal, the FIFA arbitration panel and the South African PSL Dispute Resolution Chamber. Yusuf is registered to appear before the ADGM Courts in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Yusuf is also regularly appointed to preside over internal disciplinary enquiries and investigations involving executives and senior management.
